While some companies weigh heavily on staff’s quantitative contributions to company’s business success, global giants including IBM, General Electric, Gap and Goldman Sachs have all recently revamped their performance review systems to include qualitative approach. Yet, how to strike a balance between the quantitative and qualitative assessment on staff performance has become a key issue for many companies. In light of that, this seminar aims to share views on the future development of performance appraisal system and tips for HR departments in design and implementation of such a system.

Objectives: 

  • Sharing views on different performance monitoring system
  • Re-evaluating and exploring different practices of performance appraisal
  • Analysing the benefits & concerns of different appraisal system designs
